Trace heating, also called “heat trace” and “heat tape”, is a system used to heat pipes. Trace heating consists of a long cable–like electrical heating element running in physical contact along the length of a pipe. The pipe is then usually covered with thermal insulation to retain heat.

  The highest standard in self-regulating heat-tracing systems. Raychem self-regulating heat-tracing, Junction box, Thermostat Control, End Seal and other accessories are approved for use in hazardous areas by PTB & BASEEFA. The self-regulating heating cables are VDE approved and DNV (DNV Certificate No. E-5121) approved for use on ships and mobile off shore units. Suitable for many industrial and commercial applications.
