GW – Defrost Heater

Description

The defrost heater is mounted just below the evaporator coil and is protected from short circuits with fusible links. This tubular element can be supplied in a range dependent upon use and are supplied fully annealed for bending. Defrost heaters are typically employed to defrost coils and evaporating pans. This type of heater can be clamped to tanks, pipes, or coils. Elements can also be bent to particular requirements and provided with fixing nipples and other mountings.

GW Defrost heaters are used for the prevention of ice build up on freezer and evaporator coils. GW Drain and condensate pan heaters are used for the prevention of ice build-up in drain ways and condensate pans of commercial refrigeration units
