Calorifier is an apparatus used for the transfer of heat to water in a vessel by indirect means, the source of heat being contained within a pipe or coil immersed in the water. In the existing system, the Calorifiers transfer heat from a circuit containing high temperature and pressure water generated by the boilers to a separate circuit that is run at a temperature and pressure that it is safe to distribute within the building concerned.
